One of the new breed of repeat-flowering dwarf lilacs, this impressive little plant flowers over a really long period - usually starting off with a big flush of in mid-spring, but then blooming off and on again well into the autumn. This makes Flowerfesta White invaluable for spaces where plants really need to earn their keep - either on the terrace, the balcony or the border. Try to place it near a seating area or pathway though as the flowers have a sweetly scent.
- Garden care: In midsummer remove the faded flower heads carefully using secateurs to avoid damaging the young shoots. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in early spring.
